A housemate in college often let me driver her E36. We had fun driving in snowy conditions. I really liked that car. When we had our first child I was driving a 944 year round but we needed something more family friendly. This was my chance to get a 3-Series. I test drove a used E46 M3 one day and a 330i the next day. I really wanted the M3 but the 330i was surprisingly sporty for a sedan and was much cheaper. It's now 22 years old but the car gets a lot of compliments. My son is now driving it daily. My wife drives the X5, and I drive the M240i.
